This is a new project that our suppliers are doing with the deaf and blind school which they support in Rajasthan.
When the children are aged 15+ they have to learn a trade ready for them leaving school at 16. This means not only have they had an education, but they will also be able to support themselves and in some cases their families too. It has taken our suppliers nearly 12 months to decide what is practical for the children to make and also to get the finished item here and good enough to sell.
Each young person that has made these candles has also decorated the clay pot.
When we buy from our suppliers half of the money from each set sold will go directly back to the school.
